Soup Lent Lunch this Friday will be in church at 12.30pm, after the 12 noon Eucharist. We'll be supporting The Diocesan Lent Appeal this year, 'Tackling Homelessness Together'. Other soup dates are March 2, 9, 16, 23. Please sign the sheet at the back of church if there are any gaps for making the soup.

You are invited to a Bell Ringing practice and demonstration here at St J of J on Wed - 21st February. All are welcome, no prior ringing experience needed. The ringing demo and practice will start at 19h30 though do join us from 18h30 for a Sonic Meditation warm up in the church. Led by Stephen Shiell and Hannah White this will feature exercises for 'deep listening' and sounding based on the work of Pauline Oliveros.

Stepney area vocations morning 2018. A half-day for people in the Stepney Episcopal Area to explore together, and with Bishop Adrian, some of the lay and ordained ministries to which God may be calling us within the Church of England, and to discover what may happen when we respond. Who Cares? An introduction to pastoral care. Are you interested in caring for others? This course will give you an insight into what pastoral care is all about and what good practice looks like. This 7 week course is open to all and starts on March 6th @ 7pm @ Stepney Centre for Training and Development, Hemsworth St, Hoxton N1 5LF. Liz Taylor is kindly running a COFFEE MORNING in church to mark Fairtrade Fortnight (26 Feb - 11 Mar). The Coffee Morning will be on Sat 10 March, 10.30 - 12 noon. All very welcome!

Our 'Annual Meeting of Parishioners' & 'Annual Parochial Church Meeting' (APCM) will be on Sunday March 18th, immediately after church.

Lenten Quiet Day. Sat 24th March,11.30am to 2.30pm. Cost: £10, which includes lunch, drinks and all materials. You must pre-register by calling Fr Doug on 0208 985 7832, or sign the sheet at the back of church. Title of the day - The Longest Week, a reflection on Holy Week.

Please sign up in the file on the table at the back of church if you have time to get involved in church opening on a Saturday, 9.30 - 3pm. As little as half an hour of your time is really useful. We have an obligation to one of our funders for the repair work on our Tower to be open 40 Saturdays a year. And anyhow - we'd like to be open as much as possible.

We need to ensure that there are always two adults in Junior Church. Would you be willing, not to lead, but to be a second adult, on occasion? You will need a DBS check, but we can organise that. Please speak with Andrew, Gill or Steve.
