What's on - Sunday 28 October 2018 onwards

All Souls-tide:

- This afternoon , Sunday 28th October at 4pm there's a service at which we read out the names of those whose funerals we've taken this year, and in past years in church. Open to all.
- This Friday, 2nd November at 12 noon we'll be holding our All Souls' Day Eucharist at 12 noon. Please write up the names of those you would like remembered at that service on the list at the back of church. Open to all.
- our Remembrance Sunday service will be on 11 November at 11am.

Grand Draw tickets are now available. Please see Mavis at the back of church. Please take a book and sell on each ticket for £1. Money and stubbs can then be returned to Mavis.

We're now collecting towards the Christmas Bazaar. Please think about whether you have any of these things at home that you'd like to give:

Books

Bric a Brac

Raffle Prizes

Home produce (please sign the list at the back of church).

New Sunday rotas are available a the back of church. Please take yours.

Apologies, there will be no 7.30pm Eucharist this Tuesday - 30 October (as Andrew is away from the parish teaching that evening).

On Thursday 8th November our church school will be coming in for their Harvest Service at 10am, so there won't be a 10am Eucharist that day.

Three weekends ago Ibi P-W ran 15 miles from Stratford to Putney for the homeless charity 'Shelter', as part of Urban Rush. To contribute to Ibi's fundraising please go to her Justgiving page

Some people choose to give to the church using weekly envelopes. If you use envelopes - the new ones for 2018/19 are available now. Please tick the list when you take your envelopes. If you'd like to join the envelope scheme, please choose a number that doesn't have a name next to it - and put your name on the list. Thank you!

Please have look at the Creationtide display at the back of church. Many thanks to Gerry for putting it together.

Up until & including 4 November we'll be taking in food for the Hackney Foodbank. Foodbank does need: Shampoo, Shower gel, Washing-up liquid, Curry sauce, Long-life fruit juice, Tinned custard, Tinned fruit, Tinned meat, Tinned fish: mackerel, sardines, salmon. Doesn't need: Beans, Pasta, Tea. Thank you!

The 'Happy Singers' group meets this Wednesday at 7pm in church. There's an open invitation to everyone who enjoys singing and making music with other people.

The next CHURCH CLEANING will be this Saturday, 3rd November, 9.30-11.30am. We'll need to stop at 11.30am at the latest as there's a funeral service at 12 noon. All welcome!

The Christmas Bazaar this year will take place on Saturday 1st December, 12-4pm. Please save the date. Offers of help gratefully received (please speak with Sue C, Liz T, or Andrew W). We're going to put out boxes for things to sell on 14 October. We'd be grateful if you could think about raffle prizes and things we might be able to auction.

Paul Higgins will kindly be holding his COFFEE MORNING at 4 Mongers Almhouses on Sat 8th December. Please save the date.

Night Shelter dates before Christmas: 3 and 17 November; 1 and 22 December. It won't be taking place this year at St Luke's, Homerton Terrace, but at St Mary's, Stoke Newington.
