Lent Groups: During Lent, Christians are encouraged to seek out ways to grow in their discipleship. This year we have the opportunity to do this with members of other local churches, and with a great Biblical figure as our guide and companion: Abraham, flawed yet faithful friend of God. 5 sessions on Wednesday afternoons and evenings (you can choose which suits you best), starting 13 March.

We will be using Meg Warner's book 'Abraham: A journey through Lent' SPCK, 2015. We're not assuming that people will want to read or buy the book, but of course if you'd like to then please do. You can order it here (and Andrew would be glad to help if you don't have a computer), or you can order it through a bookshop: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Abraham-Journey-Through-Lent-Book/dp/0281074895

The sessions are:

Wed 27 March, 4-5.30 & 7-8.30pm, Hackney Methodist Church, 219 Mare Street, E8 3QE.
The 'other': Genesis 21:1-21

Wed 3 April, 4-5.30 & 7-8.30pm, Frampton Park Baptist Church, Frampton Park Road, E9 7PQ.
The choice : Genesis 22:1-19

Wed 10 April, 4-5.30 & 7-8.30pm, St Michael & All Angels, London Fields, Lansdowne Drive, E8 3ER
The legacy: Genesis 26

During Lent we'll be fundraising for the Diocesan Lent Appeal which this year is supporting charities working to end Modern Day Slavery in London: Ella's Home, Kalayaan, Love 146, Tamar, The Rise Project (The Children's Society).

The next church cleaning is Sat 6 April, 9.30-11.30am.
