What's on - 2 Feb 2020 onwards

Sun 2 Feb: Sunday Forum at St Paul's Cathedral. 1-2pm. Free and unticketed. Seating is on a first come first served basis - so please arrive early (latecomers may not be able to be seated). Speaker: Dr Ruth Valerio who is Global Advocacy and Influencing Director at Tearfund, and an environmentalist, theologian and social activist. Her latest book, Saying Yes to Life (SPCK 2019) was commissioned by The Archbishop of Canterbury as his official Lent book for 2020.

Next Sunday - 9 Feb - there will be a reunion of those confirmed in 2019 straight after church - lunch provided.


There next Last Sunday of the month Sunday afternoon service will be on 23 Feb at 4pm.

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE PARTY, 6pm on Tues 25 Feb, in the Rectory. All very welcome! Bring a frying pan if you'd like to take part in the pancake race.

Sun 1 March - after church in the Parish Room: 11.30am-12.30pm. If you helped out with a stall or volunteered in any way at the last Christmas bazaar, please come along on 1 March so that we can look back at things good and bad and learn from them - as we start planning for 2020.

The Bishop of Stepney is coming at 3pm on Sunday 1st March to confirm three people, two of them from our church, Helena and Sharon. It's an unusual time for us to have a service, but please do come if you possibly can.

The next Church Cleaning will be on Sat 7 March, 9.30-11.30am. All welcome!

World Water Day event at the New Kingshold Hall. We're working with Well Street Mosque to do some fundraising together and to put on a joint event - including a shared meal - involving both our congregations on Saturday March 21st from 1pm-3pm (exact timings tbc). If you'd like to help with this, or learn more about it, please speak with Gill, Andrew or Manuela.

Date for the diary - Sat 28 March. Lent Retreat Day in the church. Title: 'Good Friday People', led by Fr Doug Hiza. Refreshments & registration at 11.15am. First talk at 11.30am. Ends at 2.15pm. Cost: £10 (includes lunch and all materials). Please say if you need help with the cost.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting and Annual Meeting of Parishioners will be on Sunday 29 March, immediately after the 10am Parish Eucharist. Notice is given that our Electoral Roll will be revised between 9 Feb and 12 Mar, so the paperwork for joining the Electoral Roll will be available during that period.

There are Sunday Morning rotas at the back of church for anyone who hasn't collected theirs. Please take one. We're very keen that people should be able to join our Sunday morning rota. If you'd like to volunteer for any Sunday morning roles, please talk with Andrew, Gill, Manuela, Val or Datoru. Thank you!

The PCC will meet in 2020 on Mar 3, Jun 2,, July 7,, Sept 22, Nov 17 at 8.05pm (after the 7.30pm, which you're warmly invited to attend). The Annual Parochial Church Meeting is on Sunday 29th March 2020, after the 10am service.
