What's on - 13 October 2019 onwards

A warm welcome to anyone who is new to the church today - do please stay behind for refreshments after the service if you have time.

Congratulations to Jago on his baptism day, and a warm welcome to his family & friends.

Geoff Taylor's funeral will take place this Thursday (17th) at 11am. All very welcome. Liz will be confirming on Monday about a hall for after the service and has said that people are welcome to bring a plate of savoury or sweet finger-food to share if they would like to.

There will be no 10.30am Eucharist this Thursday.

We are looking for some people who would be willing to join an organising committee for this year's Christmas Bazaar (which will be held on Sat 7 Dec). If you'd be interested in helping with this, please write your name on the list at the back of church.

If you'd still like to bring in food for the Hackney Foodbank, you can up until Sunday 27th October. The Foodbank needs: Tinned tuna or mackerel. Tinned fruit. Tinned Veg. Packet soup. Long-life fruit juice. Tinned pulses/chickpeas. Rice pudding. Jars of curry sauce. Soap. They don't need: Pasta. Tea. Please check the 'sell buy' dates.

Barts Health NHS Trust & St Joseph's Hospice 'Annual Remembrance' Service at St Paul's Cathedral. 27 Oct, 6pm. A service in memory of those who have died. No tickets needed - all welcome.

The next church cleaning will be Sat 2nd November, 9.30-11.30am (All Souls' Day service at 12 noon).

Our All Souls' Day service will be on Sat 2 Nov at 12 noon. If you'd like people remembered at that service, please add their names to the list at the back of church.

The next PCC meeting will be 12 Nov (8.05pm, after the 7.30pm Eucharist).

Parish Advent Retreat. Sat 30th November, 11.15am -2.15pm in the church. Please save the date. All very welcome!

Some people do their giving using the envelope scheme - they decide how much they want to give, and give that in their envelope (using one per week). If you'd like to continue using envelopes, or join the scheme, please collect your envelopes from the back of church and make sure that you tick or add your name on the sheet.

Night Shelter starts again in November. John Alty is very kindly co-ordinating the rota. He expects to be responsible for Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings up until Christmas and in the New Year for Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Come & Sing Handel's 'Messiah' - an annual community event. We are organizing an annual come-and-sing Handel's 'Messiah', supported by a band of professional musicians. Please help us to fund this unique opportunity to bring our community together by donating at:
