If you would like to join, please email Robyn at robyn@sjoj.co.uk. You can also speak to Robyn at church if you have any questions.

There will be a service at 12 noon this coming Friday (6 June), but instead of a Communion service it will be a service of Midday Prayer. In the side chapel of the church as usual.

Sunday 8 June is the great Feast of Pentecost. If easy, please wear something red next Sunday. Red is the liturgical colour that day and reminds us of the tongues of fire that were seen on the heads of the disciples as they received the Holy Spirit ("Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them" Acts, chapter 2).

A great way to prepare for the coming of the Holy Spirit is to come and dust and polish the church. Fiery yellow dusters provided. All welcome! Next Saturday, 7 June, 9:30am-11:30am.

The PCC will meet in church at 7pm on Thursday 12 June.

Everyone is warmly invited to Mthr Robyn's Ordination to the PriesthoodSat 14 June, 4pm at St Paul's, Shadwell (The Highway, E1W 3DH). You can take a train to Shadwell Station. Or the 277 & 339 bus. Mthr Robyn will preside for the first time at our Patronal Festival – Sun 22 June, 10am. Shared meal after that service on 22 June. Do please bring some food to share with others. All welcome!

Congregation member Cathy Harris's funeral will take place in church on Friday 27 June at 12.30pm (no 12 noon Eucharist that day). All are welcome.

Tabletop Sale - Sunday 6 July, 12-3pm. Come along for a fantastic afternoon of bargains, treasures, and community spirit at St John of Jerusalem Church! Whether you're on the hunt for vintage gems, handmade crafts, or second-hand goods, there's something for everyone.

Alastair (Owens) would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support while he ran the Hackney Half Marathon. He manged to complete the course in 1 hour and 48 minutes (6 minutes faster than last year!) and has raised over £1900 for Hackney Night Shelter. Thank you for your generosity!

Please speak with Theresa, Robyn or Toby if you could help with our new Tots group. Tuesdays in term time. Help would be really useful at any or all of these times - setting up 9-10am, talking with parents & children 10-11.45am, clearing up from 11.45am-12.15pm. We'll talk with you about DBS checks depending on the type of volunteering you might like to do. Thank you! Likewise, if you would be interested in volunteering to lead or assist with the occasional Junior Church or Youth Group session, please speak to Theresa (our Children and Families Worker) to find out more.

All Singers Wanted! If you would like to sing a solo piece during Communion on a Sunday morning, please speak with Robyn. If accompaniment is needed, please give as much notice as possible, and at least one week (so that whoever is playing has a chance to practice). Help finding the sheet music for that is also much appreciated.

We are also in search of people who play musical instruments who might like to play occasionally on a Sunday morning alongside an organist/pianist accompanying hymns. If you play and would like to join in - please sign the sheet at the back of church.
