Sunday 25 January, 4pm will be the final service marking the 'Week of Prayer for Christian Unity', at St Michael & All Angels, London Fields - Main joint celebration – all welcome. No Evening Prayer here at St J of J today.
Next Sunday – 1 Feb, we have Evensong at 5pm here in church.
Joan Hiza's funeral service is on Monday 2 Feb at St J of J. 10.30am Reception & thanksgiving. 12 noon Funeral Service. All are welcome. Doug has requested no flowers, but people are welcome to contribute to some new stained glass for the church in memory of Joan. Cheques can be made out to 'St John of Jerusalem PCC' (marked 'Stained Glass' on the envelope). Or you can use this link:

There is Little Tots 0-4 (under 5) Stay and Play every Tuesday during term time, 10am – 12 pm. Possible new volunteers for this, please speak with Lisa E, Robyn, Toby or Andrew.
Choir practice is on Wednesday 28 January, 7 - 8:30pm this week. But from 3 February onwards it will be every Tuesday, 7 - 8.30pm. At 7pm we'll do the hymns for the following Sunday and then practice for the next Evensong.
We have three new services:
- a monthly Evensong (next one, Sun 1 Feb, 5pm)
- a monthly Thursday Night Prayer (next one 12 Feb, 7pm)
- a monthly Sunday Service in our church school (Pancake Church!), especially for Primary School aged children (next one on 15 Feb, 10am).
We are looking for new volunteers to assist occasionally with our Youth Group. (A DBS check and some safeguarding training would be necessary.) Please speak to Lisa-Raine for further details.
Now in its sixth year, A Song for a Shelter (fundraising concert for Hackney Night Shelter) returns on Saturday 31 January. Performance Starts at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm. 22 Feb – This is Toby's last Sunday before his move to Australia. There will be a shared meal after church, 11.30am. Do please bring some food.
Would you be willing to help with either of these (a) help laminate & put up posters for Holy Week and Easter 2026 (b) become part of a small group to accompany the Staff Team through Holy Week & Easter 2026 (setting up for services etc). If yes, please speak to Andrew or Robyn.
Prideaux House is seeking donations of good quality clothes or electrical items to sell in their Charity Shop. Donations can be left at Prideaux House (10 Church Crescent) on Monday, Tuesday or Friday mornings, or at the charity shop (407 Mare Street).
