There is Evensong here on 1 Feb at 5pm. All welcome!
Joan Hiza's funeral service is on Monday (2 Feb) at St J of J. 10.30am Reception & thanksgiving. 12 noon Funeral Service. All are welcome. Doug has requested no flowers, but people are welcome to contribute to some new stained glass for the church in memory of Joan. Cheques can be made out to 'St John of Jerusalem PCC' (marked 'Stained Glass' on the envelope). Or you can use this link:

Gift Aid forms are at the back of church if you are a UK taxpayer.
There is Little Tots 0-4 (under 5) Stay and Play every Tuesday during term time, 10am – 12 pm. Possible new volunteers for this, please speak with Lisa E, Robyn, Toby or Andrew.
Choir practice is now every Tuesday, 7 - 8.30pm. At 7pm we'll do the hymns for the following Sunday and then practice for the next Evensong.
Experience Fellowship with Feather dusters and Floor polish at Church Cleaning, Saturday 7 February, 9:30am – 11am.
There will be a short meeting for Junior Church volunteers after church next Sunday, 8 February.
We have three new services:
- a monthly Evensong (today, Sun 1 Feb, 5pm, then 12 March)
- a monthly Thursday Night Prayer (next one 12 Feb, 7pm)
- a monthly Sunday Service in our church school (Pancake Church!), especially for Primary School aged children (next one on 15 Feb, 10am).
We are looking for new volunteers to assist occasionally with our Youth Group. (A DBS check and some safeguarding training would be necessary.) Please speak to Lisa-Raine for further details.
Our Ash Wednesday service is Wed 18 Feb, 7pm here at St J of J.
22 Feb – This is Toby's last Sunday before his move to Australia. There will be a shared meal after church, 11.30am. Do please bring some food to share. All welcome.
Lent Groups this year (focusing on prayer and Taizé chants) 7.30pm on 26 Feb - St Michael's, London Fields (E8 3ER), 5th Mar at Hampden Chapel (E9 7EU), 12 Mar at St J of J, 19 Mar at Hampden Chapel, 26 Mar at St Michael's, London Fields. All very welcome!
Would you be willing to help with either of these (a) help laminate & put up posters for Holy Week and Easter 2026 (b) become part of a small group to accompany the Staff Team through Holy Week & Easter 2026 (setting up for services etc). If yes, please speak to Andrew or Robyn.
